Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” I love that passage! What a great reminder that we cannot earn God’s favor! We have no reason to boast or see ourselves as better than others, because the only thing that you or I did to receive God’s grace was accept it (through faith). When we think about the grace of God, it should cause us to praise Him.
Have you thought about God’s grace today? We need to be reminded of God’s grace every day, and in every single moment. Jerry Bridges once wrote, “Our worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of God’s grace. And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace.” We always need His grace. Take a moment to think about the ways that He has been gracious to you (even in the past few hours). And here is a song to praise God for His great grace!
